how do I want it all to feel?

image from "The Last Day On Earth" by Kate Miller-HeidkeAs soon as I walk in the energy is palpable. No doubt I'm in a new place. A special place. A place I had never been able to visit before ~ I'd only been given glints and glimpses. As if the universe had been teasing me with it, but now I am here.

Over in the corner is a group of people, my kind of people, lounging on plush but oh so comfy sofas, drinking tea and eating hearty soup, conversing about what matters, supporting each others' dreams, and there is lots of laughter. Genuine laughter.

Above us the space is twinkling. Starry diamonds providing enough light to show me the way, and enough shadow reminding me where I've been. Under my feet is a softness, strangely supportive and springy, allowing my steps to be light and carefree but also solid, keeping me grounded.

There is a purpose here. Jobs to do, desires to be fulfilled and people to help. Goals to be kicked. Fun to be had.

An antique clock hangs on the wall. It's hands have been removed and the words doesn't matter calligraphed across its face.

Along the far-side wall is a wide bookshelf lined with rows and rows of hearts and a note displayed: "Please Take One".

Giggling children run around, bright coloured kites streaming behind them. The smell of fresh baked bread and newly brewed coffee wafts past. Someone is handing out squares of caramel fudge.

I wander gently, feeling calmer, feeling stronger. Everything is okay here. Everything is okay.

I find myself in the centre, where for me the light is brightest and he is there too. He tells me he has something in his hand for me ~ I laughingly (knowingly) ask if it is my future. With a smile in his voice he says "just half of it". His right hand takes mine and uncurls my fingers. In my palm is the matching half. It has always been there.

This is my day. My day at last. And this is how it feels.

Danielle LaPorte has just begun a series called "The Burning Question" where she asks a question, answers it herself on her blog, and invites us to do the same.

This week's question was "How Do You Want It All To Feel?". Having always been pretty hopeless at describing my feelings, being a very visual person it's no surprise to me that all I could do was describe how it looked. Hopefully the imagery stirs the right emotions for you too.

* My alternative (and brief) answer was : "Like Ferris on his day off". :)

"Perfection" will be popped into the shops over the weekend.

Happy Friday peeps. :)
